How M’sian gymnast Farah Ann flipped her way to Tokyo Olympics 2020

She loves it through the round-the-clock-training, the grueling way it stretches her mind and body, the unforgiving discipline it requires of her to be a world-class athlete.

  • She is the second of three children and her sister, Katrina Ann, is a former national synchronized swimmer.

She did make the event finals at the Ljubljana World Cup in April, and won silver on uneven bars and placed fifth on floor exercise.

  • Even though it was hard, there was always a sense of pride, being able to put your routines together, be able to perform them, travel, compete, and go to the camps.

  • On Saturday 19 March , the quartet will try to lead their teams to conference championships with Carey Oregon State University , Jordan Chiles University of California at Los Angeles and McCallum University of Utah set to face one another at the Pac-12 Championships in Salt Lake City, while Lee Auburn University looks to help take her team to a first-ever Southeastern Conference Championship title in Birmingham, Alabama.

  • Farah Ann became the first Malaysian woman artistic gymnast to qualify for the Olympics in 20 years when she finished 16th out of 20 in the qualifying session of the individual all-around event at the 2019 World Championships in Stuttgart, Germany.
